OK, iv'e read the directions in the manual several times about how to operate the auto dimming rear view mirror but I still don't get it, can someone tell me how to turn it on/off, etc.

I think they are automatic, they dim when a bright light hits them. I don't think you can turn them off.

It is always on. No need to worry about dimming it. When bright lights hit the mirrors, they are automatic, hence AUTO DIMMING..hehe

On some vehicles like my wifes Lexus you can turn off the auto dimming feature. On our trucks whats the left most button do? Not sure if that is an OnStar button or not.

On my 04 the left most button is for turring the auto dim feature off. Hold the button in untill the temp display in your rearview mirror disappears. then it will flass and come back on . Its all in your owners manuel,http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Cool. With limo tint over the factory tint I dont ever mess with the mirror as it cant auto dim even if it tried.
