its fairly easy. Just remove the airbag, then remove the steering wheel. Then you have to unplug all the connectors and just reassemble the way you took everything off.

I did it when I changed mine for the steering wheel controls

x2. i've heard of this infamous device before, but i've never actually seen one or known what it does. does it have anyhing to do with an actual spring?

when i took my air bag off the only spring i saw was the one that was around the wire for the horn. when i went to put everything back together, i thought i put it back right, but now i have no horn. just wondering if this was the same thing or not.

You probably just didnt plug the horn back in fully. Check that before replacing the clockspring. Or check the fuse
