Has anyone measured this value? High side? Return? Any guesses on volume flow rate to/from cooler?

Help me out guys.

I think I answered this for you once before but here it is again. Cold mainline pressure is between 220 - 260 psi depending on engine RPM, normal operating temp. 210 - 250 psi. When the converter locks mainline is limited to 150 - 160 psi.

Thanks, I did not have that info. I can assume then that the cooler is rated over 260 psi?

I dont *think* the cooler sees line pressurehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

You guys are confusing me.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif I'm talking about the lines that GO to/from the cooler. I know there will be some head loss enroute to the cooler, forget about that for now. Edited by: masterp2

I *think* Steve missunderstood you. He thought you were asking about line pressure in the trany *I think* I also dont *think* the cooler sees line pressure. One way to find out though, get a gauge and go take a road trip. Just make sure the gauge is good to 260psi in case I'm wronghttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

Sorry if I was not clear enough or misleading, a new language for me.

If the line saw 250 psi of pressure to and from the cooler then the flush I did on Sunday would have squirted fluid to the other side of my lawn..........

No Silly.......... As the trans heats up the pressure to the "cooler" changes. Get a book..... you can read, yes?Edited by: Burner

Actully, I ment that in a good way, getting your hands dirty. Get a book or two, they have three, and see what it's all about. You will find your answers there in black and white...er...and red, yellow and green. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Burner, thank http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif you for your advice. I'll try to put it to good use.

I agree with tony, doesn't seem likely the cooler line pressure is over 20, though that doesn't say what happens once the system is closed up..
