Just incase anyone wants to know, I went to the dump the other day and went across the scales to figure out exactly how much my truck weighs. Its not as much of a pig as I thought. 6400 lbs the way it sits. here's the stats, (pre-lowering components, which is when I weighed the truck) 2003 d/a extended cab long bed, 2 wheel drive, LS, leather seating, power drivers seat, empty tank of fuel (less than 5 gallons) automatic a/c, aftermarket brakes and pads only, factory everything else, vinyl tonneau cover, mud flaps, single alt., power everything, no hitch and no trailer. So how fat am I compared to the rest of you?

My 04 2500HD ext cab short bed 6.0 gas 4X4 with 5er hitch weighed 6220 full of gas, it was an LT1. I would have thought the D/A would have added a lot more weight than that. Now I got to get mine weighed.

you would think so, I notice everyone on here claims somewhere around 7300 lbs for these trucks, seems mine went on a diet I guess

Is it possible that the scale was not right?

its possible, but i am pretty sure it would need to be pretty accurate since they charge people for dumping by weight. If it is wrong and they are over charging I think they might get in a lot of trouble, don't you?
