On my 05 I have experienced severe brake drag after making repetitive hard stops like racing from light to light. It has been so bad that in the dirt the front tires would slide when I tried to move. "BlondeStar" tried to diagnose the problem remotely but saw no problems. After some time it just let go and I went home.
Recently I noticed that the rubber piece inside/under the brake fluid res cap had swolen to a point that I could not get it back in the neck and would not seal the cap. I replaced the cap and rubber piece, and purged the old fluid from the system by bleeding it all out and replacing with new Dot3 fluid. I bled the brakes with the engine off, and when test driving it locked up so tight, I couldnt go at all until I released the pressure from one of my bleeders.
Any help would be appreciated.

sounds suspiciously like someone put oil in your master cylinder

Sticking caliper, bad master cylinder, brake line colapsed?
An '05 should be under warranty though. Have a dealer check it out.

It sounds like your brake fluid is contaminated. If your master cylinder cap is swollen then it is most likely that all the rubber parts in your brake system are in the same condition. This will cause the brake calipers and wheel cylinders to bind and it can also cause the master cylinder to hold pressure on the brake system. The only way I know of to correct this is to replace all of the rubber seals in the master cylinder, calipers and wheel cylinders and the rubber brake hoses. Be sure to bleed the system with plenty of new brake fluid.

Ugh! Sounds like it is going to be expensive. I'm over warranty by mileage. Too bad it is not powertrain.

Remove your calipers from the front brackets and slip out the pads. If they won't come out, the mounting ears below the stainless clips have developed corrosion like all 12 in my fleet. The pads should slip in and out.

You nailed it. It finally got so bad that I had to pull over and release the pressure at the caliper 4 times to drive 12-15 miles to the brake shop. They are planning on replacing the ABS unit, and rebuilding the calipers and master cylinder and replacing all the rubber lines. Rotors turned, new pads etc...
Even after purging the system, they pulled some fluid out of the tank and poured some water into the sample. All the brake fluid diluted and left globs of PS fluid at the top. quoted 1500-2000 for the work.
Ouch.
