ray 07 classic,

Down pipe back replaces everything from the V band clamp at the bottom of the firewall back, the turbo back also replaces the small down pipe section, but you won't find than too many places as the cost is very high as compared to the minor HP and or EGT benefits etc.

I would reccomedn that you get a cat back and then the optional front pipe so you can remove and reinstall the cat as your needs arise IE dealer visits etc. If you have any questions call us we stock all the MBRP and AFE systerms and can help you.

Be cautious here also. Some people will say they are turbo back, when in reality they are down pipe back.:(

"turbo-back" when refering to the Dmax most of the time means "down-pipe" back. NO Dmax system on the market is currently a true "turbo-back" though there are a few manufacturers of true down-pipe. So in the Dmax's case when you read turbo-back, it really means its from the down-pipe back.

Who, aside from TTS, is making a true downpipe?

Diesel Power mag just did it to a d-max (i think) and from downpipe back to bigger down pipe was on like 9HP different on a stock truck. Please correct this if im wrong I dont have the mag infront of me.

Dynomite diesel makes a true down-pipe as well.
