I have a buddy with an 02 Duramax that is long off warrany. His CP3 pump has gone south and he needs to get a new one. Does anyone know where I can get one for a good price? He doesn't have a lot of spare cash around right now.

So far I know you can get the CP3 by GM for a good price and there are most available.

What is he planning on doing with the bad pump? If he is just going to toss it, I may want it.

GMparts direct has the best price by far. if he has any mods, hes ought to get the LBZ pump since hes swapping anyways, the cost is about the same.

That's Canandian dollars, at our dealerships parts seem to be twice as what they are at American dealerships. But if you take $621 USD add the core charge, =$821USD which = $963.00 Canandian. But for me to drive down across the border for $187.00 difference would end up costing me the same in the expense to travel down there.

Yep steves got it right. canadian dollars Actually 1150 was the lowest price i could find anywhere near locally. The bosch dealer wanted 2400 and it was 3 months out. The dealer was 1150 and 2 days. Go figure!

I noticed that someone said to use a LBZ or LLY pump on his 2002. What all is involved with switching over? Also, when he buys a pump wether its a LBZ or LLY pump will he has to use his old valve on the back of his 2002 pump or will his new pump come with one? Im in the middle of replacing mine with a LLY pump so if someone knows please fill me in. Thanks
