Hey guys, got a good one for ya'll. I bought a Bully Dog Power pup for my LBZ bout 8 months ago and I love it. I've be on a lot of road trips lately and have notice some strainge smoke coming from my truck. This is hard to explain so bare with me. I keep my setting on Tow/econ, cause i pull a trailer a lot. Now usually on this setting it doesn't smoke black but just a little. Well the other day i drove bout 500 miles just intersate and had to get off to fuel up. Well I had to get on it leaving the stop(spin tires on pavement) sign and a huge amount of smoke came out, like more i've ever seen. Now i'm not complaining at all, i'm just wondering why its doing that. Does anyone know why or have a guess? Anyway I gave ya'll somthing to think about. Thanks in advance ya'll.

Its over fueling...to get more power you add diesel (air, timing ect.) Black smoke is from unburned diesel..Its fine, its not hurting anything on that level. Turn powerpup all the way up and see how much it smokes!!! :lol:

To much black smoke (over fueling) will wash your cylinder walls..burn up turbos ect.

Yea on extreme, its tire burning power lol, but what i was getting at is why when you drive it around town and all gettin on it and playing around, it doesn't smoke much at all on tow setting. Drive on interstates for long periods of time you usually dont have your foot in it much. But Its like all that smoke builds up and then woooos, you got it nail and its just black smoke is all you see even on tow setting. Idk if that makes since but that what im getting at.

You said it! If you havn't pulled the kitty, the soot is building up. Mine did it til I modded!!!

My kitty stopped loading up with residual carbon as soon as it Fingered and Block it. Anyway, I don't think my kitty can fall off before Summer comes.
