Two of the wide plastic strips on the doors of my truck look to have bubbles behind them and its annoying me. I woundn't think this would actual 'lumps' in the skin of the door. Here's the question. Have those of you who have removed those strips suffered from door dings that would have been prevented had you left them in place? Would you remove them again if you had a 'do over'?

Would ya believe there is a TSB on this? Here's the number: 04-111-002A. I don't know how to link it. But the bubbles are from the bar code lable on the back side...DUH?
Hope this helps.

I worked in a bodyshop for several years in my younger days, and most of the vehicles that had the stock rubber side mouldings had waves like crazy in the steel where the mouldings were located...

I love to find people like you parked WAAAAY in the back of wal-mart all alone.. my buddies and i will to park on either side of them way up close.. just to aggrivate them. hehehe.. Of course were careful not to ding anyones ride.. but lets face it, It doesnt matter where you park in a parking lot like Wal-mart... Your still a target.

i would think that you would be fine if your paint has been waxed and polished regularly. even if it is you can put them back on.

On a '03 I gonna guess that will depend on the color of you truck. White=probably not a problem, Black=I would bet it won't match

Why would you and your 'friends' find that funny?
I’d use your hood as a notepad to let you know just how I felt. This world is plenty large enough to not park right next to someone else if you dont want to.
Just my .02..

Took mine off and it looked great, for about a week. Came out of a small strip mall to find a nice dent right in the lower ridge of the door. One of these days I'm gonna see if one of the paintless dent removal guys can get it out.
