i was wondering if any of you guys who did the shim mod had trouble loosening the valve from the fuel rail i can't loosen the f-----g thing any tricks or m i screwed? please help

Yes they can be a B!tch. I used a six point box end wench with another large box end over the top of the first for leverage and mine always broke free. Some aren't so lucky though. Good luck.

Have you got or can you get access to a good small 3/8 impact....that's what worked for me.

I used a long 3/8 ratchet with a pivoting head. I held the socket over the nut and another guy stood over the driver fender and yanked on the ratchet.

I shimmed mine once but didn't shim it enough, have tried several times to re-loosen it with no luck. That thing is ON there!!! Guess I'm gonna be taking the entire rail off. I used a 6 point Craftsman and it's starting to strip it.
