i've limped my trans twice with edge on five since have not gone above three. next month i have a 4000 mile round trip with about 8000 or 9000 pounds of trailer. i was wondering if i should trust the trans with edge on 1 or 2 or try and build it before i go (short on money but might be able to come up with it) thanks in advance

I'll share my results, although yours could be different.

I had an 01 that I limped at least a dozen times in it's first 100,000 mles. I decided it was time to turn the Hot Juice down to one and leave it. We pulled trailers for appox. another 80,000 after that before we sold the truck.

Sure do like the Suncoast in my 05 though!:)

I tow mine in level one only. I have limped the tranny about 3 times so far. What the heck, I'm towing not draggin so why risk it..... ps. it feels real good once you drop the 5er put to level 6 and play though....:D
