The SCIII will have the transgo in it already. The edge attitude will have your gauges already and will monitor tranny slips too. The juice can damage ones tranny, but if people play safely then they will be okay. I just got the SCIII and I like it alot.

The TransGo kit is part of the Stage III as Ben says. The problem is that you must remove the transmission in order to install it. That's a major part of the labor expense for the Stage III install.

Once you get the TransGo, then the torque converter is probably the most likely slip/fail component. So if you've got to pull the trans anyway, seems kind of silly not to replace the converter unless you can do the R&R for free...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

So you've got the trans out, got your TransGo and new converter. While the trans is out, the clutches which are the next weak link are right there with just a little more labor. See where this is going?

Go for the Stage III and forget about having to monkey with the transmission again unless you go outrageous with the power mods...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Like above mentioned, the heart of the L3 kit is the transgo, it takes care of the valve body and the c2 apply piston, Joe went a step further with the L3 kit and included the boost valve, aftermarket clutches and steels for the first 4 packs, which are claimed to have much increased holding capacity and of course, the triple disk converter.
