I know that topic came up quite often,

What would be the right range for an EGT gauge ? Is the red point at 1200F ?

And about the boost, does a DMAX also needs the vaccum or if it's only for gasser ? My truck as stuck engine, but I might upgrade it a little bit.

thx

personally i got a 0-60 psi boost gauge. and a either a 1600*-2000* egt
some on here have hit 1600+ degrees with a single turbo

1600* Egt gauge and 0-30 for boost. I was going to use the 0-60, but it;s more impressive to almost pin the 30lb than only going halfway up the 60lb, just my .02:D

What's the maximum value it reaches with stock engine or with tuner ?

stock boost is 18-20psi and a 1600* egt will be fine
stock turbo can run reliably ar 32psi

I thought the pressure would be negative during idling or going downhill, as the turbo isn't propulsed by the exhaust ?

No throttle plate = no vacuum
