Also posted this to LB7 1st generation section:

On a trip to SC a few days ago I had two instances where the motor shut down for a few seconds at highway speeds(it was raining) and then magically resumed its regular beat with no action taken by me... No lack of power when running, Filters CAT and OEM changed approx 6k ago.

Noticed a hard crank with no start on the first start after sitting overnight after above mentioned trip. Turned key to off, recranked, and it started immediately.
Today cut out once more for a few seconds(this time dry conditions) at about 50mph and resumed its normal behavior. Upon arriving home I stopped to pick up mail at roadside and as I stopped the engine died. Had a hard crank, no start, turned off key, recranked...it started immediately.

My first thought is AIR... but why would the engine falter(cut out) at speed and then resume right where it left off?

Coming up on 36k shortly.. All comments and suggestions
greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Richard

Was there any noise associated with the cut out and were you accelerating when it happened?
