Bullet Proof Sterring makes replacement tierods for our trucks, check them out. I helped them with the prototype and I have them on my truck. They are not cheap but they are high quality.Edited by: BassinRVer

I have SDs tie rod sleeves and like them very much. Many drag racers run these sleeves, and like was mentioned earlier they keep the tie rods from breaking. Drag racers are very hard on tie rods in these rucks. They are also inexpensive and very easy to install.

I will cast my vote too super diesel. You could probably buy 8-10 sets of these for the price of those replacements, and in the process make 7-9 other owners happy.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

Super Diesels rod sleeves work great and are a lot less expensive than the bulletproof ones. Saw a Duramax break a driver's side a couple weeks ago at a local drag race.

I have the 2nd set he sold and they work great.

In the past 17 years or so, I have seen 40 or more bend them at truck pulls. At Thunder in Muncie this past June, there were at least 2 that bent.

I do not even need them as far as 4x4 launches, but thought, just for the insurance factor, they are worth it. I went ahead and got the center link at the same time. After all, it is only moneyhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

SD,

Now all you need to do is make a centerlink that allows the truck to turn as tight as or tighter than the stock set-up. The idea of turning around on a one-lane hunting road in the mountains with a larger turn radius than I have now isn't exactly appealing.

Let me know when you figure that one out, and I'll buy one.............

Sorry afp1, you will need a steerable rear axle as well for those roads. I can help for about $6000. My truck still turns as tight as it did before. The A arm stops are still in the same place. The out side turning tire has slightly more resistance with my Track Bar on. Your truck sure would be cool and one of a kind with a front Dana 60 that had steering to it out back.
