Fianlly got one,, 2500 lbz crew Lt1, xm radio plus a few more options. Bought for 1000 under invoice. Wife wants running boards instead of nerf bars, oh well she wins again! Anybody else have them cause I was thinking about the ones that run back to the rear fender so me being only 5' 10" could reach in the bed. Love the truck!! Matt

congratulations, I dont know of they make running boards all the way back. With nerf bars they have some flex when you go up a driveway at an awkward angle, but, do the running boards flex?
Someone on this forum'll be much much more help than i am :)

I have 2 piece running boards on my crew cab duallie. The go from wheel wheel to wheel well. The front board ends at the rear of the cab, and the back board starts at the front of the bed. They are sort of like nerf or step bars in that they are a 4 inch tube, but with a treaded board on top. Very pricey but they are no on the third truck.

J&J enterprises makes them. They are stainless and called the milenium board.

Congrats on your new truck, I also have an LT1. I looked at running boards but they seems so "light weight". I ended up getting N-Fab Nerf Steps (the 6 step model). They are very strong, functional and look OK too.

Try this place I got mine here. $259 total. Installed pretty easy and work great don't go all the way back but put a fold step in back to get to the bed. It fits between the tool box and bed it cost $10.00. Marie

Onki makes a product called "nerf boards" they look like nerf bars from the side, But have a nice flat area that returns up to the cab like a running board. I have a set on order, but not in yet.

Congrats on the new truck, since I build fire trucks I have access to the material and I built some for my truck since most I see for sale are too light for my taste. Mine are 3/16 diamond plate so they are heavy duty. I also made the brackets to attach to the frame and they are really stiff and run cab length only

I had a set of them on my last truck. I never got around to putting the box ones on.

My 06' has the full length ones on and are a 3" tube instead of the 1 1/2" tube that is on my previous truck
