In May of this year I purchased a Quad module for my LLY from Craig McElfresh or CPMAC as he is referred to here. I had drivability issues with the module so Craig asked Quad to overnight me the latest revision. The latest revision was slightly improved however, not what I would refer to as acceptable. At that point, Craig and I agreed that I could return the module for a full refund, including return shipping to Quad. I promptly shipped the module back and on 7/12 Steff phoned and confirmed both modules were received. Now its 8/5 and I have not received a refund so I called Quad and talked to Steff, she told me that both modules have since been reflashed and sent to Craig at Macs-Performance, she then passed me to Stan who listened to my story and said “Craig recently changed phones and I don’t have his new number so you might try Pming him at the Diesel Place, sorry but there is nothing we can do”! That’s strange, Craig mentioned several times he was in contact with Quad on a daily basis. Huh! At this point Craig will not respond to my phone calls on either phone or my PM’s. Am I the only member having this problem? At this point I don’t care what his deal is I just want my money!

Just out of curiosity what does Quad have to do with one of his vendors? It does not sound like a good deal, but they have a couple of hundred dealers and I think that it is a little unfair to blame the manufacturer. He can't babysit everyone.


I know some people do not like Quad, but I am about 100% positive he never tried to screw anyone. I think as far as refunds or returns or warranty Quadzilla has always been more than fair to everyone I have talked to.

When I see Alvin's Puppet post it burns my ass.Fraudzilla has you guys fooled he knows nothing and spends the majority of his time sitting in a tree stand hiding from his problems with his junk tuners.

Racehemi is owed a refund and didn't receive it yet much less in a timely manner. He has every right to be upset and the processing error that caused this problem was entirely my fault. Quad did everything he was supposed to and I dropped the ball. I can do nothing now but send racehemi a refund and implement new methods of double checking myself to make sure this doesn't happen ever again.

I agree. He admitted it, and was great about it. Things do happen. So get over it, and go on with life. Craig is honest and will do anything to help out. Heck he never met me until a dyno in INDY back if Feb. And gladly dynoed my truck, and gave me tips on how to get more out of it. Thanks again Craig.

I am happy to say that Craig has resolved the refund issue! Last Thursday Craig phoned to tell me he would take care of this immediately after our conversation ended that day. He promised a check would be sent via FedEx AND he would a refund my credit card, this would surely take care of my refund plus he mentioned that he had the latest version of the Quad module at his shop and would include it with the check just so I could compare it to the older version I tried previously, for free of charge and for as long as I felt like trying it. I will admit I was more than a little apprehensive about Craig’s promise but as I mentioned before, I don't care about the details I just wanted my money back. So I get home tonight after a long Monday following a long weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit Michigan and as Craig promised I had a FedEx package, not a envelope but a package that included a check for the refund PLUS interest and shipping and the Quad module for comparisons sake. At that point I called the credit card company and I find out that the refund had posted to my credit card on last Thursday, the day he told me he was going to the bank to make it right. I then called Craig, told him I will destroy the paper check he sent via FedEx and try the latest Quad he sent me. I know from 20 years of customer relations that things can happen, and this time sh!t happened. I wish it had not taken this long but oh well, it is done now as far as I am concerned and Craig went beyond what I asked for and that was my money. He didn’t have to offer up a free trial of the Quad but he did and I appreciate that. We even discussed some things I could try at a couple local county fair truck pulls. No hard feelings so lets put this thing to bed and move on!

Now if my truck had not taken a free ride on the back of a rollback this morning all would be well! That’s another post so check back I will start a new post regarding the most terrible knocking engine I have ever heard!
