I ordered a bullydog powerpup for my DMAX and was wondering if there was any more info from people who had tried them before besides the little bit of info I have seen so far. I am trying to get rid of my edge/attitude with the ATS console mount for my LLY if anyone is interested. I bought it all for $770 and will sell it for $655 obo to you front door. It has only been on my truck for 3 weeks. I have had no problems with it and it makes the truck really get up and go. I just want to get a programmer so I can adjust for tire size. Just a pet peeve that has been bothering me. Any questions, just let me know.

Cody, use them both. They work well together especially in the fuel economy stack of bullydog on lev1 juice on 0/0

if you can deal with a little timing rattle that is.

Then if you upgrade the trans you can stack and be loaded for bear in the high output mode.

Just my .02 , but the Dog does not do tranny protection (defuel between shifts or monitor for slippage) so be aware of this.

Keep the Edge and if the Powerpup doesnt make it get up and go better than the Edge put the edge back in. I believe that u can still use the functions of the powerpup without using the tune function and well if u dont mind upgrading the tranny you can stack them together

You can use both. That is my plan. I am going to use the pup for tire size increase and juice for power.

Is there any other way to adjust the DIC for tire size besides a programmer? I think superlift used to make a box or something that corrected all of these things. Anyone know?

There are a few out there that will do tire size only, not sure who makes them. You will have to do some searching on here and on the net to find out which ones. I will see what I can find out.

Hypertech does NOT DO TIRE SIZE!!! It also DOES NOT REMOVE your limiter, or raise the redline!

Just FYI. The shop I bought mine at said it'd be able to do that and it wouldn't so I tossed it at them and ordered my money back, and went and bought a banks. The banks is faster than the BD or Hypertech anyway.

Why didn't you buy the bullydog in the first place, didn't you do any research before you put out $770 for the Edge/Attitude http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif ?

Why don't you stack it like they are saying ?Edited by: BlueCrew 04 D/A SB GMC

I bough it because I was just ready to put some more power into my truck, and edge was one of the first ones to have one out, so I bought it. I loved everything about it, like I said I just want to b able to reprogram for bigger tires. Nothing against edge, they have a great product, after having a chip, I just like the programmer better. By the way, the hypertech does reprogram for larger tires. I had one on my 2002, and it reprogrammed for them.

Hypertech does do tires, no spd limiter in '01 at least, and is fairly mild. As HDMAX (I believe) pointed out in another thread, the LB7 Predator is way fiercer than the Hypertech, does tires, spd to 110 in '01, 125 I think in later yrs., and reads/clears base OBDCII and DMax specific codes. Supposedly also does real-time info but I haven't looked at that. Can be run in stock-tune but with tire/or spd options for stacking with a (Edge or Banks) box.

I would just stack them. They work awesome together. I wish I still had my Dmax, with that stack it was a dream to drive.

Why would you want to reprogram for bigger tires???? You are driving your truck around with more miles on it than the odometer says!!!! Think about it. I just use the mph guage adjusted for 265's on my attitude to see how fast I am going.
