I have searched for several days and have not come up with an answer. I even PM'd the "king" of all stock bose systems, with no reply..lol. I haven't had the truck long and have only been listening to free xm untill my son threw a cd in. Absolutely no bass at all, even with it maxed and treble turned way down. Tried 10 more cd's, which all sound very good in the wifeys Avalanche. It's so high it makes the dogs howl..lol Does this sound like a dealer fix? I really would rather not take it in. I should mention it is standard 6 disc non lux. Thanks

The non lux units don't have a lot of bass to begin with. The Avalanche may have the Lux amp which provides much more bass (and volume) than the non-lux amp. Plus you might want to get rid of the Lawence Welk CDs....... JK :p:

Actually my son is 12 and I would almost prefer Lawence Welk over what he listens to!! The Avalanche is non lux. The xm and fm have a very nice sound to them, you can feel the air in the right front of the console from the bass. I am going to be in the market for a lux amp as soon as I pay down some christmas debt!! In the meantime I would like this system to sound like it should.

Stock non bose has no sub to produce bass. It is a poor system at best ! Not that the factory Bose doesn't need work either !

Signature says SLT, it should have the premium Bose with a sub, not as good as a Lux by far, the CDs should have more base than the XM. Take it in and have the dealer look at it.

Thank you. Thats kinda what I thought! I was just doing my best to avoid that!! I answered "stock" just to say I havn't added anything. I just received, as a gift, a Pioneer AVH7600DVD monitor/tuner/DVD with an AVIC88DVD nav unit that I'm installing. I plan on keeping the Bose system. I want to find an adapter to just give me audio inputs to the factory system. I only want to use the Pioneer system for DVD play and navigation and hear it thru the the Bose. I want my rear seat controls to remain functional while I watch DVD in front or vise -versa. Thanks in advance for replies.
Another member has offered for sale to me a lux amp and I cannot afford it YET, so thanks to him. I am happy to have found a website where people try to help others.
