You most likely have at least one bad injector. :( Time to check your balance rates.

Fill out you signature in your user cp with your truck info and mods ao we can help you better.;)

You need a scan tool, if its an injector there is a 200K warranty on them and gm will check the balance rates and hopefully replace all 8 for you or just the one thats bad it depends on which dealer you take it to. Im on my 3rd set at 92K.

Depends on what year truck he has as to the warranty. Thats why I suggested filling out his signature.

If it is under warranty take it in ASAP. A bad injector can also fill the crankcase with diesel.

Take it in. IIRC the 03 is now under the 200,000 mile warranty.;)

I wouldnt worry about the straight pipe, if you dont mention it they probably wouldnt even realize. If you have a tuner though get it out!!! They can refuse to warranty anything if its there.

My truck has been sounding funny when I start it, and when I get on the gas and when I shut it off. It does blow some white smoke, but not the all the time. I think only when its getting warm.
This sound is a rumbling sound when I shut it off. When I get on the gas, over 50 or so, it is a loud knocking sound. Almost like when cranshaft bearings are going out on a gas engine. Never heard all until the snow blizzard we just had and the engine compartment was full of snow. But it is all melted out.
Does this sound like a injector problem, or me getting to paranoid?

Maybe some moisture got into some sensors? Let her dry out and do a check of connections. just me $.02
