I have a leak between my master cylinder and hydro-boost unit. Is there an o-ring that can be replaced between these two? I did a search and found some similar problems but no fixes. (besides recalls on newer models) Can anyone shed light on this for me? Any help would be appreciated. Edited by: rwng

Mine is doing the same thing. I think the whole thing has to be replaced. I am trying power steering sealer but don't think it will work.

The fluid isn't supposed to go between the booster and the master cylinder. It just has a plunger between them.

Yeah I'm using fluid with stop leak in it but it seems to be worse. Replacing the whole unit sounds like a bad deal since prices are $200 +.

I replaced the hydroboost on my dad's '96.
It's expensive but with lifetime warranty, possibly worth it.
The new unit died in two weeks , replaced it and third unit has gone a yaer.
