16 years in a Ford now the proud owner of '07 Classic 2500-HD. I know yall are gonna have fun with this so go ahead, my brother and brother-n-law are both D-max owners and have felt it there duty to give me a rash of crap. This is a new game for me and have learned a lot from your posts, great site! In the past I have replaced the OEM air filter with a replacement oil type (K&N, True Flow), OEM air box and exhaust modifications and Superchip programmer. I drive alot and didn't want the mods to compromise dependability. Would like to do the same with this truck. I have already replaced the OEM air filter with a replacement AFE. Got a few ? and would appreciate any feedback.
1. Has anyone modified the OEM air box?
2. Thinking about 4" MBRP cat back exhaust, hows the sound? Anouther brand? Don't want too loud.
3. My brother swears by his Edge w/Attitude, I read where it seems there are some problems with Edge and the LBZ. Has that been corrected? Anouther brand?
I welcome any help, feedback, threads, etc. and say thanks in advance. Oh yea, h*** of a truck, Ford has got some work to do!!

Can't answer any of your questions except #3. I've had zero problems with my Edge Evo, and would HIGHLY recommend it! It makes a huge difference in performance, and going back to stock is just a matter of pushing a few buttons.

Glad you like the truck! I know the Chevy is a better truck than the Fords, but there is the prettiest pearl white w/ tan leather F150 extended cab at the local dealer... it's very tempting, but I'll be strong!

1. yes, do a search for swiss cheese
2.good idea, id keep the cat and also run the 4in muffler. check out Dieselperformanceparts.com, they have a cheap system
3. any mild tune sounds like a good choice for you.

Thanks for the "swiss cheese" info, don't think I'll go that route but did get some great ideas reading the posts. I plan on getting my mods in place over the next couple of months, will post my progress and sure I'll be asking lots of questions.

#1 Do a search on the "spicer report"!! You may be surprised.

#2 4" exaust will do you good. Depending on the climate in which you drive you may only need aluminized unless you plan on having your truck on it's roof alot

#3 Edge with attitude has been great for me as well!! Easy to use and install. But like anything, research it out. Banks makes a great product as well.
