Well we just got over 55 hours of white out condtions/blizzards of blowing snow about 60 mph. My truck started up fine, but my engine compartment was full of snow. I cleaned as much as I could from the belt before starting. After the second day, yesterday, my truck starting whining like the belt was slipping, and a clicking sound. Could this be a pulley going out? Pulley bearing from something? Truck has 10,700 miles. Stock.
If I took of the belt would I be able to find out which one is making this noise by turning it by hand?
I put the truck in a shop with heat, and put a space heater to it to get all the snow melted from the engine compartment and under the truck. 2.5 hours and not all melted from under the truck.
I dont want to break anything else by this problem, so I am not using the truck that much. Any suggestions?
