Does anyone hear a thump or a thud when they are at idle. It kinda seems like it is coming from the passanger side firewall.

Yeah, I noticed it last night. It has gotten cold here, and i had the defroster on and heard a thumping about every 30 or seconds, comming from the pas. side. I messed with things for a few minuets and found that when i turned OFF the defroster, the noise went away. Must be an air directing door of some type for the defroster.

I get that noise as well when the heater is on. Mine has the ATC. My guess is that its the A/C compressor cutting in and out. Some compressors have a harsh engagement and I thinks thats what we are hearing. I could be wrong though........

I,ve been hearing it too.Sounds like someone closed a car door nearby. can't hear it outside the truck, only inside ,must be duct work,or air control doors

Noticed the same thump the other night and verified turing off the ATC this noise stopped. Just another sound added to the list of seat popping and belt chirp. Now to get them all harmonized together...

Mine done same thing. Look at the a/c lines and they will be fozen up. I called the dealer about it and he said it was normal when defrost is being used.
