Sending back my Edge tomorrow since I got the real sweet shut down feature on it when your driving:rolleyes: . Nothing better than try to steer in slow moving traffic with 325's and no power steering or brakes to stop. I called Edge today and they gave me a code to put on the box when I send it. My question is what do they do as far as updating the unit. Will I get a new one or a reflash of some sort with this one?? The tech told me they would test it then go from there. Anyone know how they test them?? I DO NOT want back this module with some reflash and have more problems. Was going to upgrade to hot juice but thats on hold. Any feed back from other edge owners or previous edge owners would be appreciated. Thanks!

They have yet to correct my shutdown issues. I am on my 4th box. If I were to buy another power module it would not be edge.

That sounds great:rolleyes:. Looks like it's time for something else if it dosen't work. Or I can keep wasting my money on shipping it back to them.

I know several people in my town that have had Edge problems and Edge sent them a brand new box and in some instances a brand new Attitude monitor as well. I've heard of this alot on here also.
Relax Guys. I am on my eighth module and the last 3 being Beta Test Modules. My current version is working flawlessly and I will test it tomorrow towing my 15K 5er on a trip. Edge is very close to the final fix so don't kick them to the curb just yet. The shutdowns were an inconvenience for sure but their committment to customer service is awesome. They call me almost every week to see how the latest versions are working out and send me updated boxes as they make tweeks to the programming and internal components..Just wait a little bit longer and it will be worth it for us LB7 owners...My $.02..Jim

Shut down may be an inconvenience but also depending on when it happens, dangerous. I hope whatever they send me back works flawlessly but if it don't, does a guy keep wasting his money on shipping and down time for a product they spent good money for? My big mistake was I sold my guages after purchasing the edge. I still have my pred to run around on but nothing to monitor whats going on, my mistake. Hopefully it gets fixed right the first time so I can update it to the hot, but if not, I'll send it back again and then sell it. If I made a product that has so many failers, exspecially a company the size of edge, any of my products that are still under warranty I'd give the option of a refund after attempting to fix the problem. That my opinion. I like the product when it works. I also like my truck and don't want to get into an accident while pulling my trailer after a shutdown happens.

does stacking chips add to shutdown/edge probles?

I don't think so. If you read about all the issues, 90% aren't stacked.
