is it normal for the edge to show partial slippage on WOT runs ? mine will show about .6 slip - i have a suncoast stage 3 - is this ok or could there be a problem ?

seems to flicker to the .6 even durring a steady cruise with the converter locked. the slip is just seeing the converter slip. Its just the accuracy of measurment thing I believe and perfectly normal. Mine did it stock, does it now, lite throttle cruise down the highway, heavy throttle run, dosnt matter, I still see the flicker of slip.

Yeah....ditto

Under certain condition I can make mine hit 1%. That might be actual slip but probably just a sensor error. I see .6 all the time just poking around.

yeah mine is all messed up I think. It was showing like up to 50% slip on level 3 on very light throttle, and the more I got in the throttle the higher it went up, then it seemed to just go to 0 and do the 0-.6% thing. I just turned it off the display after awhile. I know the tranny wasnt slipping because I was only throttling at yugo hp.

you are slipping that much if the torque converter isnt locked. When its locked it should be showing in the 0% range with little fidgets to .6% seems normal.

turn thing that displays what gear you are in and next to the gear will be a little lock if the converter is locked. If it shows its locked and you are showing 50% slip your converter is beyond trashed, we are talking a dodge trany for a neon would hold the HP better than your allison kinda trashed.

I bet everything is A OK

Yeah everything looked like brand new in there my tranny guy said, the truck didnt even have 100 edge miles on it and only 6800 total miles.

So, if I read the above correctly. It's ok to show slippage on the monitor, as long as your torque converter isn't locked up? I notice that mine will show slip consistantly if I don't have tow/haul on in any leve other than stock http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

If the convert is locked you should show 0 slip, if its unlocked the converter will be slipping yes. T/H locks the converter most of the time.
