My truck egr valve keeps going out. Has anybody else had this problem? Can it be fixed or bypassed without to much trouble?

Take my word for it. GM does have problems with its EGR valve but ...... You can tow the truck in the dealership with a flat tire & they will hook up the computer thingy & they will say its the EGR valve everytime. They replace it, fix the tire & send you on your way.
