Where can i get kit for '98 C3500 dually 6.5TD 4x4 5 speed dually? how much will this help? Keep in mind this will be total weight of 21k most times. It will have (not now though) 3" downpipe into 4", no cat and also will have cold air box.
Can I just bolt air cooler, exhaust and air box on withough having to change computer stuff and whatnot?

You'll want to get gauges first.
Boost, EGT
The air 2 air cooler will help any 6.5 engine.

I wish I had done my ic install sooner instead of later. You won't need to worry about any computer problems, just bolt it on and let it rip. I bought a 24x12x3 ic and 2.5 piping with t-clamps off ebay for $261 shipping included. The clamps were cheesy and I bought some quality clamps for $5 each. So that put the total at $321. I'll try to post some pics of my install tomorrow. There are a lot of other nice installs here to see. It's really the best upgrade upgrade you can do for the 6.5, right after exhaust. Welcome to the site.

Thanks for the welcome. I will keep all informed as I go. I think I will use the Enviromax first since I already have that anyhow. Since I just bought truck I need so save for exhaust, air box and IC. I will pulling 40' enclosed that probably will have towing weight (truck and trailer) of 20-21k lbs. so I figure exhaust will be best to start when I start spending money, need to lower EGT's. How much will IC do for you with EGT and boost (with 3" down to 4" and cold air in place)?
How much torque and hp you think I will pickup with air box and exhaust then how much by adding IC? Sorry to ask so many questions, just new to 6.5TD and want to learn everything I can.

Pre ic my iats could climb into the 350 degree range and my egt was real close to 1100 loaded. Post ic numbers are iats are rarely more than 5 degrees over ambient temp to date and egt is maxing at 850 loaded with a 21k trailer. The cooling system is great now with the ic. I did not think about the cooled air helping to lower the engine temp. I run 192 tstats, alot of the time my water temp is 188 or lower according to my scanner while driving. Don't worry about turbo lag, I did not notice any at all. My pickup feels like I might have picked up about 35hp and a good deal of torque with the install, but I have no way of knowing for sure.

I see that you're posting lots of threads on how to get more out of your pickup so you can pull heavy. We hava a member here that has done lots to his truck so he can occasionally pull ~24k lbs. You should look at what he has done by going to his garage. User name is Turbine Doc. I think that you could find lots of information fast by going to his garage and shooting him a couple of PM's. Hope this helps.

I wish I would have done my IC sooner as well. And I noticed a coolant temp difference as well. I was getting IAT's of 304 before install and now the highest I've seen is 150.

To pull that kind of weight Reliably & not blowing up the engine take a trip to the FAQ area specifically the more performance thread for an idea of how to do it.
