I got my J/A installed tonight. Love the power but I'm getting a lot more "cackle" in levels 2 and 3. Is this normal. Also, I get the "agree to terms" screen every time I start the truck and the turbo timer causes all kinds of heck.

Any ideas or suggestions.

The error screen will count down & then stop. The turbo timer error are normal. They list that is there manual. If you do not like the errors, you can stop using the turbo timer feature or clear codes on startup.

Do you know if I should be hearing "pinging" or lifter type noises. Anything above #2 and my truck sounds like my old ford.

I just installed the evo in my truck and had alot of that type of noise , the edge instuctions say to mount the egt wire along the fire wall under the clips that hold down the rubber . It turns out that putting that metal egt cord next to the sheet metal transfers engine niose right into the cab of the truck .I tied mine to the insulation on the fire wall and the niose is gone now.

What jgkeefe said. Also there is a tsb about the diesel always doing it, but now the motor are getting quiter you can here it more now. Gm answer was it was normal & after break in will go away. These new tight motor take some time to break in to.
