I had the problem, found out my Transfer case had a hole and was out of fluid. That should not be your problem with 750 miles......

750mi? That is what a warranty is for. Let the dealer figure it out.

True enough... But it sure is nice to try and get educated before you go see them, don't you think? That's what this forum is for.

Mine does the same thing. Accelerating it doesnt make barely any noise. Decellerating is pretty much the same. But if you hold the throttle just so the driveline is turning but no force driving the wheels it makes a decent vibration and some noise. Probably similar to what your describing. Ive got 69000km on it, im not sure whether its still covered under warranty or not. I'll be looking into that now.

I guess i should note that it only makes the noise when in 4x4. I figured it was just noisey gears but it seems alittle suspect to me.

I get a very noticeable clunk sound when I engage the 4 wheel drive while under way, slow or fast. Sometimes I can feel the clunk in the floor boards. Also, while decelerating, I hear a whinning sound. Almost like a bearing is bad maybe. Anyone else??

Mine has always clunked going into 4hi. I figure that is normal for the size ect. of the gears. It also makes this humming noise now when holding steady on the throttle. I am going to change front end fluid to Syn. Mobil 1 and check my transfer fluid. Just had a new case put in due to that dreaded "pump rub". Should last until I make it out to Eric in the Spring
