I am generally happy with my 2004 2500HD but has anyone noticed how hard it is to clean mud from under this truck? The wheel wells are a mud trapping nightmare. I only drive two tracks with puddles(daily) but there is mud wedged into ever crevace. The plastic wheel well trim is filled with mud and I am thinking I better remove these. Anyone try that? Not a big deal on a cadiliac but a supposed "work truck"?

After a little 90 mile each way trip in the Guatemalan mud to a little chichlero camp called Carmelita in the Peten Jungle (lots of winching), it took two Guatemalan men about 14 hours with hoses and water to clean all the mud out from underneath my 02 HD CC 4X4 with 4" lift. It was extremely expensive to have the underneath hose out and then hand washed - cost about $15 US for two guys, a lot of water, etc. Truck needs it again, but can't afford US prices, and besides, I deliver it to new owner tomorrow.

After trucks come off the durability cycle at the proving ground, the frame rails are usually packed 1/2 to all the way full with mud/gravel. Good luck getting that out!!!

Just think of it as winter traction weight! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif
