Howdy all.

I have a new 2500 with the Leather seating. I took my dog for a rid just to the corner store and he out a "U" shaped tear in the seat. I was wondering what my options are for getting it fixed. One place here in MI I contacted wanted $200 to sew in a new piece (of that section). I'm really bummed outhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif.

Check your yellow pages for a shop that does interior work. My truck got a small straight cut in one seat, I think from a diamond ring a lady friend was wearing, and the stealer got someone to repair it.

Don't know who it was, or how severe a hole can be repaired, but you'd have a real tough time finding the repair on mine. Looks good and mine is the light gray interior.

Zeeb is right on the money. These kind of repairs are what I do for a living. I would go to one or some of the high end car dealers in your area and get referrals for people woh do this work for them. The right person can make that tear virtually dissapear

I have it at a shop right now that came highly recommened. He is taking the entire section of leather out that holds the rip and sewing in a new one. I was there when he took the seat out, pulled the leather off and started to put the new piece on. I will get it back in a few hrs.
