Getting ready to do a tranny flush on the Alli. Want to go to synthetic. Any recomendations? I have a Predator and run the 85hp tune with a turbo back 4" exhaust. Have read on some posts about some fluids causing slipping with higher hp tunes. Would like to avoide this if possible. Thanks.

I've read a couple of posts where slippage occurred with the synthetic Amsoil ATF. Evidently it may be too slick for the Ally. Some will agree, others not. If your vehicle is still under warranty you might want to seriously consider the transynd that Allison/Castrol make. No warranty issues there. Also the Allison site states it helps to reduce slippage(heat) and the tranny will hold its gears better. I'm switching to transynd this weekend and the deeper pan. I would love to see some pictures of the cold side return line from the tranny cooler. I think I know which one it is from tracking the lines, but best to be certain. Hoot used to have pictures posted of the entire procedure by I haven't been able to find them. Any ideas? JJhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
