Hi,
I had a few people ask for pictures of my Ram Laptop mount installation. I use the laptop for GPS and the kids can also watch movies on it if I turn it. Here they are. If anyone is really curious, I can post the part numbers.

Man, that looks like it would run you brokehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif It does look well built. I have seen some cheap looking one from radioshack that cost a couple hundred bucks.

Total cost was about $350 CDN (maybe $275 USD or so). I bought it at GPS City.

The knob by the passenger seat looks worse than it is. Passenger does not really hit it. It does restrict forward movement of the seat at a point. It also comes out easily when you don't need.

Because of the swivel arms, passenger can also use the computer quite easily.

My setup is a RAM 160-2U base with a RAM 234-3 laptop tray and a RAM 234-IU screen arm. Ram makes 2 other base systems that looks like they may be less intrusive, but they vehicle-specific base was not shipping when i bought mine.

Another good place to get info or the purchase is MobileCX.
