I just bought an auxilirary light unit that slides into reciever and turns on with reverse lights. It has a relay that is initiated by reverse but then closes the circuit so the "battery power" lead in the factory 7pin powers the two lights. Problem is, no power at factory pin at plug! I checked the power at "trailer" fuse under dash...indeed-the "battery power" there is live...as is the plug from that lead to the techonsa voyager brake unit. Anyone know why I wouldnt have battery power at rear hitch plug but everything else there works (reverse, parking, turn, etc...)? The pin in question is the 1 o'clock position looking straight on at it....big fat red wire feeding it.
Thanks....

I had the same problem with mine, turned out there wasn't a fuse in the fusebox under the hood. Should be an easy fix.

There is a 40 amp fuse taped up in the harness for your brake controller that came with your truck. That's what you replace that dummy fuse in #1 slot with. In my trailer, my 12v constant (for overhead lights) wasn't working till I did this.

Got the light set-up from e-bay. Its a reciever mounted dual light set-up. I got it for around $65. I guess if I had a welder I coulda made the thing for about $30-$30 but time is money! I dont have a photo now...but I'll try to upload one in the future. Or...PM me and I'll send you the guys number.

I dont know candle power on 'em. I see these lights alot used as auxilarary lights... Have not used them at night yet either. I did align them in the daylight shining on a garage door. I couldnt even see factory lights shining but these were distinct....

After reading this I stoped at Pep Boys and bought a 30 amp fuse for power to the battery of my trailer to recharge it. Now have power at triler plug but reading owner's manual it says if duel battery equipt then leave stud 1 open Stud 2 which had a fuse already accourding to manul feed's acc pwr/trailer wiring brake feed. Do I leave the Fuse in?

Yes. All duramaxes need the fuse. The confusing owner's manual is refering to gas motors with dual batterys.
