Today when I went to back out of the garage it seemed like it didn't want to go in reverse. It took several seconds before it actually started backing up. I drove it a few miles on the streets and it still seemed to be shifting weird. When I got back I checked the fluid (temp was at like 150) and it was a little above the lower mark/notch on the hot scale, so seemed to have enough fluid.

Anyone else have this happen? It's an 03 Sierra 2500HD (bone stock)with the Duramax and has like 7000 miles on it. If so any known problems/fixes for it?

Thanks

It was only sitting for like a day or so. I used it Saturday afternoon and then it sat until Monday morning.

Converter drain back is the culprit. I'm moving this to the Allison Forum for more responces.

Well the dealer looked at it this morning and drove it around and then hooked the scanner up and found nothing so ???? He said bring it back in if acting weird again so we'll see. I did notice on some long hills (the few we have here in WI) it seems to "freewheel" at times. Is this normal too?
