Well, I was wondering what everyone has in their tanks. I have been adding Marvels Mystery oil in mine to add lubercity to the fuel. I was wondering if and what everyone else is using in theirs.

I've just put a new IP on a few months back, and want to insure long life before ever going down that road again. Last month we had severe flooding rains, and while driving in town, my Water in Fuel lite came on (flashed maybe once or twice) I immedatily hit the drain on the fuel filter, and no light since. I was thinking about emptying my tank (not using in engine) and starting with fresh fuel. We don't have ANY high volume diesel places around here. It's kinda scary to see the same price for diesel on the board for weeks on end, knowing that they haven't had a delievery in a month or more.

Two-cycle motor oil is formulated for combustion, if you want to add oil to the fuel.

Diesel Power Services offers several cetane improvers, water dispersants, and lubricity formulas, seperately and in combination. Inexpensive, at Autozone, Wal-mart, others

Remove the fuel filter, drain remaining fuel from the cannister, investigate what sediment is in the bottom.

Hoses may be long enough to allow complete removal of the filter cannister for inspection, clean-up.

I use the walmart diesel additive and home made biodiesel for lubricity.

I think everyone on here already knows what I think about additives... I would reccommend going to the fuel shop where you got your IP and getting either Racor or Stanadyne whatever they have, other than that PowerService and Rotella have some good ones too.
