2 interesting developments - first, cars.com allows building of the new 900 series 2500HD trucks with the LMM diesel - with pricing for all options. I guess they forgot to send the pricing on to GM who claims they do not know what it will be yet.;)

Second I sent the order from cars.com to 3 dealers. One sent an automated e-mail that they would contact me but they are really busy and to call if I was in a hurry - trash canned them (no other contact after 4 days). Another sent a message that the HD's are "a few months away" but he has Classics in stock (duh) - despite a message in my order that I had zero interest in a Classic - trash canned as well.

Finally the third called immediately and said she did not have an order date or build date for the 900 series 2500 HD Crew Cab's but would get it. She called back in a couple hours and said the order date will be Jan. 4 and the build begin date is Feb. 26. As the same build date has been posted here previously, I am optimistic the Jan. 4 date is correct. Interestingly she said sometimes the order date allows orders without pricing which is added later - she did not know if that would be the case this time.

You might want to check with other dealers in your area, My dealer had one 2500 hd crew cab allocated for immediate order. Would have been great if I wanted a crew cab.
Dave

It seems odd your dealer had an order slot for a 2500 Crew Cab but not a regular cab or extended cab (whichever you wanted) as both of those have builds beginning in January but the Crew Cab build date is about a month later.

I dont believe those prices - I think they're kinda low. When i built my truck as close to my 07 classic (i just bought 2 weeks ago) as possible, it is stickered CHEAPER. There's no way on a new model....?

I went to cars.com, and built one, but it did not add anthing for options.so the only $ option was a skid plate. yes I can manualy add, but I just found that interesting.

That is interesting - it added option costs several times for me. The problem I had is that the total started with a "5" when I built the truck I want to buy!
