Anybody know when the 2005's will be out. My dealer is being tight lipped about it. I do know that they stopped giving any deals on their remaining Duramax inventory. Sounds like a production delay.

2005 production started the week of 6/20 in Flint, and this week (8/1) in Pontiac. Gotta give it some time to fill the lines...

Good luck!

Ordered mine in Mid-June, build week was suppose to be this week. Checked with the dealer today, my truck was built last week http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif and should be here late this week or early next week.

This will be my first diesel. The more I read on the forum the more I look forward to getting delivery!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Anyone care to comment on the differences (if any) between the 2004 and 2005. If you have them in stock, besides appearence, have they really done any cooling mods?

If you happen to be in central Ohio. Stop in at Taylor Chevrolet in Lancaster, Ohio. They have 2 Duramax not for sell at this time. I did not expect to see them, so I did not take my digital camerahttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

They will still take a little getting used to, but a huge step back toward sanity none the less.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

When you have time, what I'm particularly interested in is what's under the hood....specifically in the area of cooling (fan, radiator and A/C parts) comparing them to the 04's. Any pics and comparisions you could share would be greatly apprc.

Sorry skoryaro2http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif. Thanks for the complement...wish I had more to do with the looks/performance other than pay the bill. I ordered the truck from Wagar Motors in Gaylord...my home town boys did not let me downhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif.

Silvertwinkie-

When I take delivery of the truck I will be happy to take pictures of the cooling pieces/parts you are interested in. I did ask the dealer about a potential increase in cooling capacity for the truck, he did not know if GM had made any changes.

Thanks....much appreciated.

I found most dealers barely know they have 2005s in the lot let alone what's inside 'em!

Very nice truck...like the color very much.

oozamalak,

That could be my truck, except I didn't get onstar, or alloy wheels, and I added running lights- otherwise same all the way to the mirrors! (OOPS- just saw the 4X4 emblem- mine's a 2WD with a locker)

Mine should be in any day- ordered it in May.

Congrats!

Thanks all.

I know where to go if I have any questions since I am a diesel neophyte.
