Hello, I just got done trying for the 3rd time to stack these products together. In order for them to work correctly, you need to set the Edge to defuel ALL LOCKED SHIFTS, if you do not, you will get a turbo bark as soon as the converter attempts to lock up, as well as on every subsequent shift. What is the downside?? Well, you will still get an occasional turbo bark, but it is not common, even in Arizona elevations around ~1500 ft. Up around 5K + ft. you will not bark. I have been able to run in level 4 and 5 w\ the TTS, w\o problem. There is alot of timing that is audible when running the two. This is A TRANNY COOKER, so beware!! Peformance SOTP feels alot better, but I will get it on the rollers this week if time permits.

I ran 14.88 with Edge on 3, and the TTS. With the Edge removed, it ran 15.4 on TTS alone. After I install the tierod supports, I'll try for level 5 and see what the trans does.

koop, so far so good, barked one time only and that was when i was testing different situations, had o/d locked out and before 4th gear locked i nailed it and she coughed a bit, but other than that its been good. will the tranny adapt to the difference in shifting and smoothen up ?? i sure hope so, i hate how it shifts with the defuel on - anyone know ??

I can barely feel the defuel on mine. The trans is fine, IT IS NOT STOCK.... I am starting to beleive that the bark is linked to converter slippage. Meaning that when the converter slips .7% or more the turbo is told to release the boost in an effort to save the transmission. I am running a stock converter, I will put in my triple disc sometime next week. I will be hooking up my tech 2 to see what exactly occurs when the boost is let go (bark). Barks only occur when converter is locked and slippage is greater than .7%

thanks koop - i have a suncoast triple disk converter and the edge will show .6 slip at times ( which i was told is the norm for the edge to show under WOT ) - i wonder if thats whats occuring - as i have alos been trying to get it figured out as well and it has to be something of the following:
- torque converter under WOT, too much gas / not enough air to burn it, too much boost, or programming... so in trying to figure this out, im assuming that running it on defuel locked shifts lessens the amount of fuel and therefore reduces the boost so as it wont get overloaded (im a little confused on this one but it seems to work but why ) ? and running on no defuel is over-loading it perhaps ? im gonna have to check this TC out as well, thanks - any more thoughts on aboveEdited by: tbone1227
