I have a 2001 with 120,000 miles on it. The injectors were replaced @61.000miles and it seems to be getting louder at about 1800rpm it almost sounds like a lifter or exhuast leak above 2200rpm it seems to settle down. Could it be injectors I, Ihave a hard time paying the dealer $90.00 to check the balance rates.

There are other threads about this, if you want some other views on it, I've done the search. No definite answers. Mine also does this, I also think it sounds like a lifter. My balance rates are excellent, checked with a Predator.
