Ok so I have my new HPT in hand and I hook it up to my Duramax ffor a look at the injectors and I get to learn a new phrase.."Unsupported"!!!

Please tell me I did some thing wrong. I was hoping to leave the scanner at the shop and use my laptop.

Ok I got it to connect but there are alomst no supported parameters.

Fuel pressure, injector balance or any thing. No transmission support at all. When I check DTCs there is a huge list.(none on dash or scanner BTW) I clear them and they come right back.

Tuning with out a good scan util is hard to impossible. I hate scanning with the scanner then having to convert to PC to cross referance with the programing.

One of the huge advantages HPT has alwat toughted was the integeral scan utility. I am hoping this is just a release or BETA away?

they probably havent added that particular definition file, have you been able to perform a read on the PCM yet? or just tried to scan it and nothing else? If they havent added the definition file the scanner will be very limited in what it can do unfortunatly. Here's what would need to be done in that case http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2929

I have down loaded the tune in many different forms. I have re-programed a small tune in it. I want to learn more while playing I just need good logging ;)

can you send me your hpt file? I should be able to see what parameters you can log by using that. Otherwise you might wanna contact support because I've never run into the problem it sounds like your having.
