Greetings everyone!

Also installed at this time were the following,

JL 250/1 Class D Monoblock Sub Amp
w/ the GM PAC24
Viper 5500 Remote start.

First let me say, Long time lurker/ first time poster. I joined this site a few months ago and wanted to wait till my baby arrived b/4 I made my first post, Needless to say, She's finaly here after a brutal 2.5 month wait.

From day 1 I had this plan to add a few goodies to the Bose premiun sound package that my truck came equipted with.. Well all I can say is *WOW*

Its much more then I expected! The sound is crisp and the stealthbox with its 10's puts out more then enough BOOM's for me. Made my bran spanken new truck rattle as if it were a 20 year old heap...

Now for the bad part:mad:

I had a passenger in the back seat on a trip today. He began fooling around with the RAC (REAR AUDIO CONTROLS)

When he turned on the power, The subs went <<<ballistic>>> with what seemed to be 100% volume, even though, The volume was set extremely low @ the head unit.. The subs beat at max volume to what ever station the rear controlls were set at with no way to turn down the volume on the RAC or the main head unit, untill the rear audio's power was turned off.

As long as the Rear audio portion of the system stays off the install is a 100% success. But flip the switch @ the rear controls and all hell breaks loose!

What the He!!? Any one know what they did to screw this up??? Any info would be much appreciated as it goes back in this Thurs.

Oh, and for what its worth, This company never even heard of the GM PAK 24. Only after I insisted they use it, did they stop trying to sell me that cheep POS line out converter. They did however thank me for bring it to their attention after they called PAK to verify this piece even existed. heh

Again many thanks, Jimmy.

Hey Guys,

Just wondering what a GM PAC24 was. Also wondering Jimmy Judd did you hook up your amp and subs to your factory deck.

Yes, The system is/was 100% factory untill the addition of the subs and amp.

Check here for the info on the -PAC AOEM-GM24 http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110199

Did you get this fixed yet?
Try plugging the amp into the front rca's on the pac

Rear seat mutes the rear speakers so they can use the headphones. The input for the sub must be on the rear speakers Did they use a AEOM-GM24 adapter?

That's what they did to fix the prob.. All is good now except for some interference bleeding through the subs in the last week or so, when at very low volume (that's when I notice it).. Its enough to over power the music when being played at very low volume, and sometimes it keeps doing it even when the power is turned off.

I wonder If I don't have the PAC turned up to high? Any thoughts?

There is nothing like a brand new 07 with less then 500 on the clock that rattles like it has 200K on it. This was a major surprise to me in the amount of bass this set up puts out. Way more then I needed, or even wanted! LOL:ro)

And yes, the AEOM-GM24 adapter was used.
