We just traded the '01 GMC 2500HD D/A for an '07 Chevy 2500HD D/A. I wanted the six speed and didn't want to pay for the emissions equipment on the '08 trucks. We are in the process of obtaining an EGR blocker plate kit. We hope that the '07 is as trouble-free as the '01 was. We are looking at performance chips and will be asking some questions about the best bang-for-the-buck systems. This forum has been a great resource.

i would say the best bang for your buck and not have to worry about tranny upgrades would be to go with hypertech or the predator. with the predator you just can't use the 120hp tune depending on some guys that run this tune. i personnaly like the predator. here is a link for a guy that sells all tuners for a great price. http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/
