Just got some cooper discoverer ATR's put on today. Size is 265/75/16, 10 ply. They look great on the truck and the ride is smooth and quiet, but I felt they were a little squirmy. I wonder if its because of the taller sidewall or if its just this model of tire. I do need to check the air pressure yet too, I'm not sure how much they put in there at the shop.

I felt the same thing when I ran my 285/70/17s last January. Squirmy was exactly how I would describe it. It took some getting used to, but I did it. It has to be the tread pattern on those things.

I'm not too worried about it. If it's the tread pattern it might get better as the tread wears down.

Don't worry, they'll "stiffin" up. I don't know what causes it but the wiggle was a little disheartening to begin with.

I have the atr's but mine are 245's they seemed the same way at first, now they are fine.

Most tires especially truck tire with deep tread have to heat cycle a few times when new. This usually will tighten up the squiggly.

Yep, they are already firming up. The squirmyness is much less apparent and with a few more miles I think it will be gone.
So far we haven't had any snow which is amazing, but they are calling for ice and snow this weekend so I'll find out how they do. I have driven in rain and I thought they had excellent traction.

I hope you have better luck then I have. I only run mine in the winter and I've had them balanced 5 times. They are slipping on the rim front and back.
