since you guys have gone to the private forums when dont get to hear anything anymore, I think i have decided to go to the Evo Instead of the juice for my LBZ and was wanting to know how is it going , any major concerns that you can speak of ? is the power more than the bully dog? Should i buy this or wait? You guys need to inform your fellow forum members if you can please.:bawl:

I never had the Juice or the BD, so I can't comment on that. The Evo has been released and I had no issues with it. (I had what turned out to be issues with my laptop and the compay firewall.) A couple of guys had small issues that were easily/quickly resolved by Edge and I never saw anyone with anything bad to say about the product. So strictly from the EVO standpoint, it is a very, very good product.

I have not used the Juice or BullyDog but I can compare to the Predator and PPE. The EVO on setting 2 (60hp) feels stonger then the Predator on setting 3 (85hp). The PPE has to big of jump between settings 1 and 2.

The EVO is very smooth. I did not have any issues while I was beta testing.

I know the private beta forum was created to keep the bugs from scaring new people from buying them, but is there anyway to get into it.
I'm already buying the EVO but would like to read what people have liked or disliked about it.

Could I be invited in, evens if its only to read. Thx

I just called edge and the rep i think it was rob told me that they are working on a few more addons for the EVO. AN exstension cable for an overhead mount , and a stackable program for it , and we could see higher horsepower settings via the online site, and definaltly more to come. I should of asked the reps name but never did hopfully it is true and this guy knows what hes talking about . Hey Rob is this true???????. I decided to order mine , these are hard to find in canada, none in alberta, found one in BC canada its on the puralator truck now:) . Icant wait merry christmas to me.

Rob know's all the in's and out's of the EVO. He is the Alpha/Beta coordinator for them and writes the manuals as well. I think he know's what he is talking about. You were in good hands.

Did they say how long it was going to be until they came out with an extension for the overhead mount?

I also really enjoy my Evolution. Really the main advantage to the Juice is being able to change the levels on the fly, and EGT protection. But, you can set a EGT alert and the Evo will alert you if things get too hot. I doubt you will be dissappointed.

Could I run level 3 as a daily driver without any trans work done?

Whats the big differences between the evo and juice besides price? They look the same to me. Both 100 HP or so.

Holy Shi# this is the collest programmer ive ever seen., Just got mine installed , this thing looks awsome sitting on my dash , my buddy helped me , he just bought the bullydog triple dog and he is jealous he loves the features the evo has and the cool display pod he is now returning his for a refund if he still can. This has to have more than 100hp extra , edge i think has fudgged the numbers for some reason. put it on level 3 and all hell breaks loose the truck is spinning all 4 tires on wet pavement . we did a little drag race and both our programers set on 2 and my truck pulled a trucklenght on his to about 80mph . he has the same exact truck as mine except for the programmers.. And my favorite my new top speed is set now to 200MPH yehaa  :ro) :muahaha:

Biggun,
What's involved in installing it? Is it just a matter of plugging into the OBDII port and running through a menu?

More or less like any other programmer that plugs into the OBDII connector. But, the Edge Evolution also comes with a digital display similar to the Attitude monitor (except the Evolution is full color), and comes with a mounting pod to mount it on your dash. The Evolution allows you to monitor many different engine parameters, and EGT.

You can just plug the programmer in and reprogram the truck if you want, but the display is really cool, especially with the EGT display, that way you do not need to buy gauges. :cool2:

you have to drill and tap your manifold for the egt sensor probe, other than that its plug and play, what else is cool is the 0-60 timer and the 1/4 mile test with reaction time to boot as the color changing christmas tree starts you off. the must be 1000's of different colors you could have with the lcd screen, mines on a nice greyish red looks awsome. i think it sees 24 different engine and transmisson sensors you could show on your screen. my 14 year old daughter could program this with ease i bet , Very user friendly.

I installed the Evolution a few days ago. Pod is easy to install, have not tapped the manifold yet for the pyrometer...maybe this weekend. Super simple to use. Tried level 1 for a few days and as expected got a modest increase in power. Seemed to shift just fine. Set level 3 and holy Shx%^*t. Lot of power but the tranny is still a little funny.

When I started looking at programmers 2 months back I decided the Hypertech would be fine and cheap. Then I thought the Flashpaq would be better. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger earlier 'cuz so far, the Evo is way cool!
