Ok, I have read the other threads about headliners sagging in the middle and adding buttons and or velcro etc. but mine seems to be just cut to narrow. In the rear passenger area above each door by the OH S**T Handles my headliner and the insulation are showing. I tryed to tuck it back in above the rubber door seal but it's like it's cut to narrow for the width of the cab. I fail to believe that these headliners are not all pre-cut ready to install these on the assembly line so I am sure there are others out there?? Anyone else have or see this, I would like to take this back to the Dealer armed with info so they don't try and BS me.
I think the headliner is under warranty for at lease 36,000 miles right?
Thanks

Mine was the same way. The dealership ordered a new headliner and had a local upholstery shop replace it under warranty. The gaps are much flusher now, but it still is not very tight. My 2006 1500 CC was tight but it had a sunroof, my 2006 2500 CC does not have a sunroof. I am thinking about adding an overhead DVD player to help hold the liner up better.

I have the same problem....cut short headliner. We are not alone according to two dealers I talked with. I took mine back to my dealer and they ordered another one. They told me that a new one may fit better or worse. It is a gamble. When I took it in for them to replace it, the new one was damaged. It had paint on it. They tried to make it look better by putting double stick tape under the headliner at the edge and make it hold up tighter to the roof. That helped, but it doesn't stay. My 03 1500HD gasser had the same problem.
GM is making crappy headliners and knows it, but won't fix it in production or warranty:mad:. Thanks a bunch. They are really doing it to us:nutkick:.

The head liners are made at Johnson Controls in Holland, MI. They have been in the process of eliminating a lot of jobs there in the last couple of years and it shows in the quality and work ethic of their employee's, !! I know this to be a fact, basically nobody gives a crap anymore!! It is a real shame that they behave in that manner, let's just say I see it first hand on a daily basis, and no, I am not an employee of JCI, but lets just say that I have had semi trailers full of headliners!! In the last 1 1/2 years they have gone from having 4 quality test labs down to just 1. The company as a whole is going in the toilet, and it is only getting worse!!

I don't understand why they didn't bring the top of the A pillars all the way back to meet the B pillar like most other vehicles.
