overkill

The truck was in the body shop, four weeks, went to pick it up, I depressed the clutch pedal, it felt stange and was hard/binding at end of travel, could not put in gear with engine running. Had to drive home without use of the clutch. Also, the clutch now slips when I put my foot into the go pedal. Has anyone had this problem? I have looked through pages of old post, not having any luck. No signs of fluid leaks. I bled the master cylinder, still inop. Was hoping to get a heads-up before pulling the trans.

do you hear any rattle from the DMF? the Luk DMF has cause a number of owners to have a hard pedal problem. I if you cannot shift, and you have already replaced all the hydraulic then it may well be a slave cylinder problem. I have not heard of any PP problems.

Mine did that also after trailer pulling and some vibration from the flywheel. After it cooled down, it went away. Try bleeding it, it may help.
The ultimate fix was to get rid of the OEM clutch/flywheel setup.

Had tried bleeding, was no help. Replaced actuator/throw-out bearing and re-set PP. Working fine now. Thanks.

deadeye is the pressure plate you supplied me with the same as the dmax uses in its stock configuration. i have my old one that has less than 4k on it and is new looking wondering if i should save it for down the road one day. and is the disc that i bought availible from the outside or only thru southbend or you. the clutch we just installed works marvelous. and you can get dot 4 here on the diesel web page (eric) merchant automotive.

Sorry a late reply. No the stock clutch plate is different than the SBC single disc but I can get you another any time you need one.
