I was curious if anyone has a LLY CC 4x4 running in the 12's yet and what kind of mods did it take to get there. Thanks

Not sure. Know MTomac's truck does high 11's if I remember right. He's got a LB7 though.Edited by: SpoolinTurbo

Don't think TOMAC is running an LLY just yet... I am sure that will be his next project... Should be an interesting one.. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

Does 12's sound too optomistic for a truck that is running a level 5 tune for racing and a level 2 for the street and gas milage.

I dont see Tomac going to a lily any time soon, lots of untaped potential to pull from his LB7 first...

If i wanted to put a built tranny & convertor, intake, exhaust, a tuner & propane injection on would that be in the 12's with a CC 4x4

it possibly could be if set up right, running the right programs (READ VERY BIG TUNER), and having the right components - check out the TTS website when Steves shop truck turned a quick time in the 12's

SuperSport,

12's are a tall order in a CC/SB truck with just one tuner and propane. Without propane there are some including mine that are in the 13.4 - 13.5 range with the TTS Extreme tuner alone. We lack air more than additional fuel (i.e. propane). Nitrous might be a better addition to a big HP tuner.

The other variable to help get you there is weight. My 13.57 time this week was at about 7200lbs. By comparision I think Mtomac's race weight is 6500lbs in a CC/SB. 700lbs is probably worth a few tenths for sure.

Of course this all with an LB7; and I don't think there are any big HP LLY tuners out yet.

Doug 700# loss would be about 7/10`s gain on the track in the 1/4 mile. So you would easily be in the 12`s at that time. Probably in the 12.7`s

My budy in Denver is ran 12.60's at 5800ft elevation at Bandimere's truckfest last weekend with a 4x4 CC SB with a LB7, running a big tuner and some N20, along with a killer tranny. I got to figure that truck would run high 11's here in NY with little elevation!!!!
