With that billet grill, you sure are limiting the cooling ability to the front stack.

Most billet grilles have about the same design. Some have a bigger gap than others, but the idea is still the same.

Based on many situations Ive seen comparing a stock grille to a billet grille, a billet grille like that doesnt limit the cooling ablitity as you may think.

My buddy just installed a billet grille recently just like this one pictured on his GMC 2006 LBZ Sierra, and he has no cooling problems at all.

I also had a billet grille on my 98 Chevy Silverado, and on my 01 Suburban which looked just like this 07 grille...

Neither one of those trucks had a cooling problem either.

Heres the new billet grille for the 2007 Chevy Silverado:

It also, has a very clean and smooth look to it like the GMCs.

Found a few more photos of billet grilles for the new 07 Trucks.

SO far, I have seen more companies making grilles for the 07 Chevy compared to the GMC. I guess its because the new Silverado needs a slight bit more work then the new GMC in the front end department?

Anyhow, here they are:

On this red truck, it looks as though some companies are now making billet grille pieces for the lower bumper section which looks pretty cool...

Looks as though they now make the chrome side mirror caps which gives the new gmt900 trucks a bit of a luxury look on a bold body:

I'm wondering if the GMC Vortec Max, will have painted bumpers, just like on the Chevy Vortec Max, and on the HD's.

Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Pete

Not too sure about that one Pete. That would be very cool to see though!

I've been looking at one of these for a 2007 Tahoe. Seems that Precision,Carriage Works and APS all make them. Anyone have knowledge of good or bad?

Since the new chevy Silverado front end isnt as popular as the new GMC...
I wonder how many people will run the new tahoe front end on their 07 Silverdos? That would be interesting to see.

That looks awesome. I cant wait to see it with the billet GMC emblem.

Heres one with the GMC Emblem. Very beefy front end. I like it!
Looks really good...

I re-sized the photo a bit here to make it easier for you guys to see since the original is so small. Its not as clear as the small one, but it gives you guys a closer look.

You're right, the new Chevy HDs would look much better with a color matched front bumper. It really improves the look of the 1500's as well.

I agree with you though, still likin the new GMC better!:)

I had a Precision "dense" billet grill on my wife's '02 yukon. Great quality, I would definetly buy one of those again.

The "dense" grill had more bars in their's than the normal billet grilles.

Did you notice the yukon get any hotter since the grille is more dense or closer together?

Im just wondering if when the billet grille bars are closer together if it restricts air flow at all in any way to the radiator.
Maybe it doesnt, but did you notice any differences in that??

Thanks
